When the first recording of 45 Grave surfaced in 1980 it was on a compilation called Darker Skratcher, put out by the Los Angeles Free Music Society. Juxtaposed with the other other songs on the largely experimental/arty compilation, their song "Riboflavin Flavored, Non Carbonated, Poly-Unsaturated Blood" stood out as some catchy ghoul pop. Just now climbing out of my hole, I'm finding out that it was a cover. No wonder it was catchy, there were experienced novelty record song writers behind it. Well goodnight Irene, I can close the case file.
