Can't believe that this post at Rock 'n' Soul Ichiban has eluded me. Sitting there since 2014, three holiday mixes in three separate mp3s, each about the perfect length (1:10) to make a pre-fab CD mix to give someone. Because it's cooler than a zip drive, you still get to make a cover.
The selections on these are pretty varied: country, soul, instrumental, surf,...you know, that group of people over there have good taste, so they're low on stinkers. At the very least you either have a soundtrack for three and a half hours of eggnog swilling, which actually sounds disgusting, or a host/hostess gift in a mix CD with your own custom cover. Yee haw, dig it.

Ho-ho-ho! We're skipping town for a handful of days, spending the impending holidays all alone in a neighborless cabin by the sea. Boat's in the boathouse for the winter season, so after a 40 minute drive we'll be trekking through marshy woods for another fifteen. No mod cons (like electricity or water), but there's plenty of propane for the stove, firewood and (last but not least) petrol for the generator that charges the battery which runs the stereo! Just finished loading up my iPod with the Ichiban mix. Have a cool Yule, Tom!

Well, e, my guess is that you're already roughin' it in the boathouse, so you probably won't see this before you get back, but Merry Christmas to you, the (presumably tolerant) missus and the rodents anyway. Hope you have/had a good one. Mine's getting simpler every year with my siblings off to their second families and whatnot. No matter, it like it is every year, just trying to get through it unscathed! Cheers buddy!
