WORLD'S RAREST FUNK 45S

The above photo is of the Fabulous Mark III, who don't appear on either compilation, but make for a suitably generic funk band shot.

There's no shortage of claims to "rarest funk 45," because DJ's are what they spin. But, unless you're a DJ or a collector, should it really matter? Really, music should be qualified by its quality, not necessarily its scarcity. That said, I'm all over obscure music, not because it's rare, or even because it's good. I just like to have bands that I'm not that familiar with stuck in the middle of mixes. So when I ran across these two posts at Hard Raw Deep Funk, I bit. I figured some of you might like some obscure funk too. If your a total fiend, chances are you may have these anyway. But in case you don't, here's some rare funk, from "World's Rarest Funk 45s" volumes 1 & 2. (Volume 2 should really be titled "World's 17th - 32nd Rarest Funk 45s," but this isn't the place for nitpicking.)
